    "Outcome Based Education: Understanding the Truth About Education Reform" by Ron Sunseri is out of print but may be obtained via inter-library loan. The author is a state legislator in the state of Oregon.

    "The Feel-Good Curriculum The Dumbing Down of America's Kids in the Name of Self-Esteem" by Maureen Stout
    This book has current information about what is happening in our schools.

    "Left Back : A Century of Failed School Reforms" by Diane Ravitch
    This book contains a thoroughly documented history of education in the USA and comes to some well reasoned conclusions.


    "Telling the Truth : Why Our Culture and Our Country Have Stopped Making Sense--And What We Can Do About It" by Lynne V. Cheney
    Lynne Cheney's book examines education reform and political correctness.


    "Dumbing Down Our Kids : Why American Children Feel Good About Themselves but Can't Read, Write, or Add" by Charles J. Sykes


    "Project Follow Through: A Case Study of Contingencies Influencing Instructional Practices of the Educational Establishment" by Cathy L. Watkins
